Moodboard : Pink Matisse

When the lovely teen daughter of one of our favorite clients was upgrading her room to a suite in the house we were called in. Fascinating girl who swims competitively, plays guitar, and knows her own style. Looking at photos she saved we saw a lot of ice cream colored pastels and some post modern shapes. It was all reading very 80s when I was living my own teenage years. This one was stumping us a bit until we noticed she had tagged a lot of Matisse’s artwork. And then it all came together.

This confection of a room includes custom wallpaper on the walls and another large scale print on the ceiling. Rounded shapes, an abundance of drawer storage. Off the bedroom is a lounge and bath with a similar vibe and includes a pink sofa as the centerpiece.
