What’s your typical project?
I try hard for none of them to be typical but I’d say it’s a luxury residential project involving remodeling and at least one showstopper custom element.
Do you have a favorite style?
Something I call comfortable luxury using quite a bit of bespoke elements that subtly lean a little sexy. Full of organic shapes, lush texture, and art. A place where you feel your best.
What’s the analogy you make about designers vs decorators?
I use a cake analogy. Design projects are like making a cake. Cake decorators take a baked cake and make it the perfect pretty cake. The world needs decorators; yay for decorators!
But I’m a designer. I’m going to go all pastry chef on that cake and deconstruct it, remold it into something that was made just for you and if I’ve listened it will look perfect for you but more importantly it will taste perfect for you. Because I’m a designer.
